Just back from our nightly evangelistic service. Brothers Barry and Bao testified. Brother Scott preached. There were three people who gave their lives to Jesus! One woman came forward in tears…hallelujah. The church was full tonight and God blessed us.
Earlier today we met with Hebron Baptist Church and Shalom Baptist Church. I met with the Pastors to work with them on building strong leadership teams. While I was with them, the rest of our team worked with the church members on how to spend personal time with Jesus. They taught the congregations John 15:5! They talked about the importance of abiding by studying the word of God. The people were very hungry to hear what we were sharing. They participated and asked alot of questions. It was a good day of work in the Lord.
Tomorrow we are meeting with Hebron Baptist Church to worship together and share a word of encouragement with them. Then we are going back to Managua, Nicaragua. Pray that I don’t make a wrong turn and get us lost!!! Everyone is afraid I will take us to the real Vietnam!
We miss you and look forward to being back with you. We fly home on Sunday morning. While you are worshiping we will fly over you! We should be back at the church by 12:30. We pray for the presence of Jesus in your worship on Sunday and a powerful experience of the Holy Spirit.
For His Glory

Greetings from Jinotega, Nicaragua. I made a slight navigational error today getting here that cost us two hours. We saw parts of Nicaragua that Nigaraguans don’t even know exist! And in the middle of nowhere, complelely lost…we see a sign nailed to a tree in a very random place. And on the top of the sign it reads - Vietnam. (More than ironic and crazy because brother Bao is with us. He loved it.)
Blessed the church with a sound system. Had a worship service tonight…everyone participated in worship, testimonies, and preaching. There were 150+ in attendance - a few salvations for the Lord! The Pastor and church leadership fed us lunch and dinner. They are very appreciative of us and make us feel very loved. I look forward to all of you coming down here and experiencing the love of these brothers and sisters.
Tomorrow is discipleship training on spending time with the Lord. Literacy is a problem we are running into. Then evangelism again tomorrow night. Pray for the Lord’s strength and many salvations.
Praise Jesus for a church like Pecan Grove with a heart to reach the world with the Gospel. Thank you for your continued support!

What a great new tool Jim Gandy has created for us. This is a great way for us to keep you up to date with the Lord’s progress in Nicaragua! Here are our team members: Scott Lease, Barry Yeats, Bao Nguyen, Oliver Nguyen, and Mike Sellars. (Mike is a brother in the Lord from Pearland.) Please keep us in your prayers. May the Spirit of God empower us mightily to accomplish His work!
